This year was a very fun 4th of July because Paxton is now old enough enjoy what is going on. We went to a parade in the morning, which was long, hot, and a bit of a disappointment.
Yep, he wore his Pajamas to the parade...because some battles just aren't worth fighting.
The balloon was a hit. He loved throwing it up into the air. {Thanks to his wise daddy for tying it to the chair after we lost the first one to outer space!}
And yes, he was definitely the only kid we saw still in their pajamas.
It took us a while to recover from the parade...
But later that evening, we found the energy to go check out the mini carnival at our favorite park.
We petted zoo animals.
Jumped in the moon bounce.
and slid down this really BIG slide!
{turns out that big slide wasn't so scary after all!}
and the best part of the night was riding a choo-choo!
*Paxton stayed up for the fireworks, but the minute we walked outside to watch them, he burst into tears, so I watched them alone while Pax and Benito hung out inside. And with that, I foresee many years of watching them on television!
