Terrifically Terrible Two's

Paxton is roughly 2.25 years old.  The terrible two's kicked in about a month or two after his birthday.  He throws fits when he doesn't get his way, refuses to eat anything but junk food, doesn't cooperate during diaper changes (forget ANY idea of potty training), when trying to convince him to do something in particular (like eat breakfast) he doesn't agree to it until you have asked him several times, then plopped yourself on the couch, finally giving up, only to find him suddenly ready to do what was asked of him.

BUT...two is terrific!  He has bookoos of personality...and he's talking!  So much so that you can carry on a conversation with him.  A DIALOGUE!!!  After what feels like two years of having a mute child (truth is he's been signing since he was a baby, but its not the same).  Now, he can tell us what is upsetting him, what he wants to eat, what he did at school, when he goes poo poo (baby steps), and about that alligator that got him in the middle of the night.  TERRIFIC!

I've captured some of his tantrums on camera:

Before
After
Before
After
(surprisingly) Before
After (Sometimes the camera makes it better!)

Before ("Can we keep the dog?")
After ("No you can't have that dog.")

Mad at mom for taking pictures of him despite the paparazzi behind him.
"NO!"

Puppy Love

Remember Harley?

This lazy, docile middle aged pup once belonged to Ben and I.  He was hyper and wild 24/7 and he loved to run away from home and terrorize play with the neighbor dogs!   Now he's all grown up and has lived with my mom for almost 3 years.  He can go outside off leash and resembles the personality of Eeyore more than anything.  He loves taking trips to Sonic and even has his favorite car-hops!  He has also successfully gained permission to be on any piece of furniture he pleases.

To this day, anytime a dog is loose in the neighborhood, we get a knock on the door assuming it's ours.

These two are still good buddies.

 They still share their snacks...

  And love.

It's a dog's life.

Green Thumb

Super sweet gardening skills run in the family.

Yep.  That's the water from his pail running out behind him.  I'm certain he is watering the concrete.

That should do it.
