Donuts
Recently, I made homemade baked Donuts. They turned out ok, but it was a lot of work, for so so flavor, so I won't be doing that again. Paxton loved the donuts and called them cake! I haven't seen him chow down like that in a while!
Yummy!
Tennessee
Back in early April, my mom called me and asked me if we wanted to go to Tennessee with her to a family reunion. It sounded like it would be a pretty boring trip, but it had been a little over a year since we saw my aging grandparents, so I decided I would go.
As it turns out, I was ill-informed about this trip. We got to see more family who Paxton hasn't met, and there were plenty of puppies and two year old's to keep him entertained.

The view of the barn and land from the house.
There was a lot of gator ridin'.
All four of them were two!
There was some fishin'...
and a little keepin' cool.
Remy was our favorite dog.
of course there was some front porch rockin'.
Ashton had a little too much fun!
These two were particularly fond of each other. It left us to wonder how far removed cousins have to be to marry!
They had to resort to pulling each other around in the wagon when they couldn't ride on the Gator.
A big wrap around porch with plenty of rocking chairs!
The view from the top of the property.
We scraped the icing off of Paxton's cake to give to Ashton. I would say that is a perfect pair!
All of the Johnson's.
It was Uncle Buddy's 80th Birthday, so Joyce decided to throw a surprise party/reunion. That's Buddy and Joyce with Grandma and Papaw.
The food was finger-licking good!
"I heard Uncle Denny say he was going to host the next one at his Cabin in Arizona. Isn't that right Uncle Denny?!"

Thunder Storm
The Thunder have been on a roll! Today starts game 1 of round 3 in the playoffs. I feel particularly proud to be a Thunder fan since we were already living here when the NBA team was formed. {And because OKC lovingly supported them during their first few years when they weren't so hot!}
Naturally, Pax is a fan too!
"Can you hear me?"

Dancin' Fool
Back in April, we traveled to Amarillo, TX to see my cousin Taylor get married. It was a fun, but quick trip. Believe it or not, it was the first time my aunt, uncle and couins were able to meet Paxton in person.
Other than finally getting to see my family, the other highlight of the trip was definitely my dancin' fool of an almost two year old! All he wanted to do was drag his Pops out onto the dance floor and boogy!

Outdoor Fun
These pictures were taken the day after Paxton's birthday party. He had a lot of fun playing with and exploring all his new toys.
mowing of course
checking out the bubble machine
he thought he might could take a load off daddy and put this wagon together himself
hmm...no such luck
just because that little booty is so cute

Cousins
Mr. Brody joined the Sadler crew in late January, so of course updated cousin pictures were in order.
Aren't they a cute bunch?
There's always one who doesn't cooperate. Can you guess which one it was this day?

Sweet Memories
Paxton's verbal skills seem to be changing daily. It's been this way for about a year since he turned one as he learned more and more words, portrayed that he understands us and as he currently continues to string all that knowledge into broken or full sentences. I wanted to document a couple of cute conversation.
Benito holding up a red crayon: "What color is this?"
Paxton: "Um...boo (blue)!"
Benito: "No, that's red."
Paxton: "Wed."
Benito holding up a yellow crayon: "What color is this?"
Paxton: "Um...boo!"
Benito: "No, that's yellow."
Paxton: "Lellow"
Benito holding up a green crayon: "What color is this?"
Paxton: "Um...boo!"
Benito: "No, that's green."
Paxton: "Geen!"
And that is when we established that he hasn't started learning his colors at school yet.
Me: "What's your name?"
Paxton: "Paston!"
Me: "How old are you?"
Paxton: "Paston!"
Me: "No, you're two!"
Paxton: "Two!"
Me: "What's your last name?"
Paxton: "Two!"
Me: "What's your mommy's name?"
Paxton" Two!"
Me: "What's your daddy's name?"
Paxton: "Two!"
Looks like we have a little work to do in this area too!
The other morning, I was in the bathroom getting ready and when i began to use the flat iron, Paxton began saying "Hot! Mommy hot!" (While he was referring to the hot iron, I thought I would take the opportunity for him to share that piece of info with his daddy.)
Me: "Go tell Daddy that."
Paxton walking in into the kitchen: "Mommy hot!"
When Paxton joined me back in the bedroom, he continued to chant about my "hotness".
Me: "Who else is hot?"
Paxton: "Um...Mimi!"
Me: "That's right! Who else?"
Paxton: "Um...Gigin (his friend Megan from school)."
Me: "Ooooh! Megan's hot?!"
Among the others noted were Harley the dog and Mickey Mouse.

Lazy Day
Today was a pretty ordinary, lazy Saturday. Paxton fell asleep in a strange place...
and then he needed some post-nap snuggles since that hard floor cut his nap short.
Later he begged for candy...
and then we played outside for a bit.
Oh, and tonight is round two, game four of the playoffs, so we're gearing up for a win.
But I think that face speaks for itself.
